How it works
Sign in with your email
No password: we email you a link. New accounts start with 15 free minutes.
Choose a story
Have one written for you, upload your own text, or pick a classic from the library. Then pick a narrator.
It is narrated chapter by chapter
The first chapter is usually ready within a few minutes. You can listen right here in the browser.
Listen in the car
Add your private feed link to your podcast app once. From then on every narrated chapter appears there by itself and plays through CarPlay or Android Auto.
Listening minutes
You pay for what you listen to, not for a subscription. A 20-minute chapter with a standard voice uses 20 minutes of your balance. Premium voices sound even more lifelike and use 2 minutes per minute. You only use minutes for the chapters you actually narrate, and if a chapter turns out shorter than estimated, the difference goes back to your balance.
What can I upload?
Stories and texts you wrote yourself, books in the public domain, and books you own a copy of for your own private listening. Your uploads and their audio are only available to you, through your own account and private feed. Please do not share your feed link.
What is in the library?
Classic books whose copyright has expired in both Europe and the United States, such as the works of Arthur Conan Doyle, Jules Verne and H. G. Wells. The text comes from Project Gutenberg.
